Job Requirements
- Frequently operate cash register
- Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place or remove merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet
- Frequently ascend or descend ladders for stocking
- Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop within stock room and sales floor
- Frequently communicate and exchange accurate information with customers, managers, and coworkers
- Frequently move across sales floor assisting customers and handling merchandise
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends, and possible overnight shifts
- Must identify and understand instructions regarding merchandise layouts, schedules, and procedures
- Must be able to remain in an upright stationary position for 80% of the time
Job Qualifications
- At least 16 years old
- Available to work a flexible schedule
- Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers and mobile devices
- Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers
- Able to handle customer interactions and concerns courteously and professionally
- Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems
- Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on-the-job training
Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers promptly
- Understand and meet customer needs through product knowledge and recommendations
- Promote store events and promotions to enhance the shopping experience
- Resolve customer concerns courteously and professionally
- Communicate needs to management regarding restocking and service requirements
- Support team and company goals by collaborating effectively
- Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately
