Job Requirements
- Frequently operate cash register
- frequently move merchandise up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise up to 5-10 feet high
- frequently ascend and descend ladders to retrieve and stock merchandise
- frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop including in stock room and sales floor
- frequently communicate and exchange accurate information with customers, managers, and coworkers
- frequently move across sales floor assisting customers and managing stock
- ability to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekend, overnight shifts, and travel as required
- identify and follow instructions regarding merchandise layouts, schedules, and procedures
- able to remain upright and stationary for 80% of the time
Job Qualifications
- At least 16 years old
- available to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- good communicator with ability to engage customers
- comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers and mobile devices
- able to handle customer interactions courteously and professionally
- basic information-gathering and problem-solving skills
- ability to learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training
Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers promptly
- understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge and offering recommendations
- promote store events and promotions
- resolve customer concerns and offer alternative solutions
- communicate needs to management about restocking and customer feedback
- support team and company goals through collaboration
- operate cash register and manage checkout process
