The role of Sales and Service Route Driver at Safety-Kleen involves training to operate a Class B box truck, servicing parts washer machines onsite, managing the pick-up of containerized hazardous waste, and promoting products and services within a defined route. This position is dynamic and physically engaging, requiring hands-on general labor tasks such as running hoses and pumping liquids. The role also demands excellent customer service skills to up-sell services and generate new leads at various customer locations. The driver typically visits 10 to 12 customer sites daily, servicing automotive repair shops, fleets, and manufacturing businesses.
This position offers a competitive recruiting pay rate starting at $27.25 per hour and includes a 5K sign-on bonus for applicants with a Class B CDL license. Job Requirements
- Must have Class B CDL
- Able to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment
- Basic computer and math skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Capable of performing physical functions as per job requirements
- Must successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical examination as required
- Must comply with OSHA respiratory protection facial hair standards
- Willing to attend 2 weeks out-of-state academy
- Willing to work 10-12 hour days
- General labor capability including running hoses and pumping liquids
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Ensure health and safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
- May visit 10-12 customer sites per day
- Switch out 15- and 30-gallon drums of solutions
- Service parts washer machines and clean out sediment from sinks
- Up-sell at customer locations and generate new leads in the field
- Service automotive repair, fleets, and manufacturing type businesses
- Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pick-ups in a timely manner
- Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules
- Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements
- Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
- Performs other duties as assigned
