The Sales and Operations Management Trainee position located at 4304 W Morris Street, Indianapolis, IN, offers an exciting opportunity for recent graduates looking to launch their careers in a fast-paced, leadership-oriented environment. This is an entry-level position paying $25 per hour and is designed for individuals holding a bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or marketing. As a trainee, you will quickly become immersed in the company’s sales and operational processes, gaining hands-on experience in managing customer relationships, generating business leads, and overseeing fleet productivity. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive 26-foot box truck
- Regular, predictable, full attendance
- Willingness to travel as necessary within the district
- Ability to maintain a current driver qualification file including DOT physical and motor vehicle record check
- Completion of background investigation including past employment, education, and criminal history
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Willingness to work the required schedule and location
- Compliance with DOT regulations
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferred concentration in business or marketing
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Internship or related work experience in a customer facing role preferred
- Results oriented, attention to detail and good time management skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability and willingness to drive Penske vehicles including 26-foot box trucks
Job Duties
- Develop consumer and commercial customer solutions to local and national accounts including many of the Fortune 500
- Manage a large inventory of world class and nationally recognized vehicles balancing fleet productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced and dynamic workspace
- Generate new business leads as well as foster existing customer relationships
- Ensure complete customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with a high-energy, driven team to build a solid foundation in sales and operations
- Utilize company technology and sales processes to drive operational success
- Maintain compliance with Department of Transportation regulations and company safety standards
