We are currently seeking a Sales and Operations Management Trainee for our Louisville, Kentucky location at 4300 Petersburg Rd. This entry-level opportunity is perfect for recent graduates holding a bachelor’s degree who are ready to take charge, think quickly, and drive results in a fast-paced environment. Paying $25 per hour, this role offers a unique chance to learn and grow within Penske’s proven sales processes and cutting-edge technology platforms. As a Sales and Operations Management Trainee, you will receive comprehensive training and mentoring to build skills across a variety of business functions including sales, operations, finance, customer service, and technology.

Your role will involve collaborating with a high-energy and motivated team while managing a fleet of world-class vehicles, focusing on balancing productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction. The position prepares you for future leadership roles by developing your ability to generate new business, cultivate strong customer relationships, and solve challenges that impact the business and customer outcomes. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Effective communication skills
  • Internship or related customer-facing experience preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness and ability to drive Penske vehicles including box trucks
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance
  • Maintain current driver qualification file including motor vehicle record check, DOT physical, and safety history
  • Background check including past employment, education, and criminal history
  • Pass drug screening
  • Ability to work in a safe manner and maintain alertness
  • Willingness to travel within district
  • Ability to perform physical demands including lifting up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to read, communicate, and understand instructions
  • Ability to work the required schedule and location

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferred concentration in business or marketing
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Internship or related work experience in a customer facing role preferred
  • Results oriented, attention to detail and good time management skills
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability and willingness to drive Penske vehicles including a 26’ box truck

Job Duties

  • Develop consumer and commercial customer solutions to local and national accounts including many of the Fortune 500
  • Manage large inventory of nationally recognized vehicles balancing fleet productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction
  • Generate new business leads as well as foster existing customer relationships
  • Ensure complete customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate with team members to execute business strategies
  • Maintain compliance with Department of Transportation regulations
  • Utilize technology and sales processes to enhance operations
