Job Description
The role of Sales and Events Technician (Draught Technician) at Anheuser-Busch offers an exciting opportunity to engage directly with the marketing and sales aspects associated with some of the most celebrated beer brands in the country. This full-time position comes with a competitive hourly pay range of $24.00 to $25.00 and entails working primarily Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with some flexibility required during high-volume event seasons, including occasional evenings and weekends. The technician’s responsibilities encompass preparing, organizing, and executing marketing events and sponsorships across the market. Collaboration with the local sales team and marketing coordinators is essential to ensure the successful execution and recap of events, measuring the return on investment and identifying opportunities for growth.
In addition to event execution, the Sales and Events Technician plays a critical role in managing draught beer systems, including troubleshooting and resolving pouring or dispensing issues, scheduling equipment maintenance, and maintaining event assets. The position demands coordination with various teams to manage inventory, plan merchandising resets, and support sales route coverage. This dynamic role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a proactive approach to identifying new installation or system refresh opportunities in the market. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver license
- Ability to lift and move up to 165 lbs
- Strong organizational skills
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Knowledge of safety regulations
- Excellent customer service skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid driver license
- Commercial Drivers License preferred
- Able to lift, load, unload, and move products weighing up to 165 lbs, as well as hang merchandising material
- Highly organized with ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
- Excellent internal and external customer orientation
Job Duties
- Execute sales events including organization of assets before event, working collectively with the Marketing Coordinator on product needs and shipments, set-up and delivery of event equipment and assets, on-site execution and maintenance during event, clean-up, and recapping of event
- Communicate with concessionaires and accounts on event needs prior to event
- Schedule and maintain all draught equipment including cleanliness and maintenance needs
- Maintain all event assets and organization of event asset area
- Order signs and banners in a timely manner for upcoming events
- Work collectively with Marketing Coordinator and local management for on hand inventory in warehouse to confirm quantities, quality and freshness
- Identify new draught install opportunities and communicate opportunities with Marketing Coordinator
- Repair and maintain all POCM and POCM storage areas and communicate to sales team on existing POCM in the warehouse
- Fill out draught and event logs monthly and send to Marketing Coordinator
- Recap events using recap tools to determine ROI of events and send to Marketing Coordinator
- After hours and weekend work may be required
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
- Work closely with Logistics on executing the Sale Event Process
- Adhere to all company safety regulations
- Cover sales routes of Sales Representatives that are out on vacation, leave, etc. as business needs
- Perform shelf resets in key retail accounts as business needs
- Use space planning software to effectively merchandise the beer department according to category and retailer strategy as business needs
- Assist Shelf Set Coordinator with maintaining and updating planograms in SPP program
- Work with the Sales Department with team sells in uncovering space related opportunities
