Avalon Hotel & Bungalows Palm Springs and Ingleside Estate are iconic hospitality establishments nestled in the heart of Palm Springs, California. Avalon Hotel & Bungalows offers a unique desert oasis experience with 70 Spanish-style lodgings, including romantic studios and private villas, surrounded by lush, citrus tree-lined grounds and three cabana-lined pools. Guests enjoy dining at the acclaimed Chi Chi Restaurant and relaxing at the Estrella Spa, making Avalon a historic playground and sanctuary that dates back to Hollywood’s golden era in the 1930s. Ingleside Estate & Melvyn's Restaurant brings old Hollywood glamour to life with its 30 Spanish Revival rooms and suites, and a rich history as the favored escape for celebrities such as Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, and Elizabeth Taylor. The estate’s relaxed elegance, serene grounds, and iconic dining experiences make it a cherished landmark in the Palm Springs hospitality landscape.

The Sales & Events Coordinator role is critical in supporting the sales team’s efforts to drive business growth and operational excellence within these prestigious properties. This full-time position is dynamic and fast-paced, suited for a highly organized individual who thrives in a customer-focused environment. Reporting to the Sales & Events team, the coordinator will facilitate lead generation, client relationship management, and event coordination. They will handle administrative tasks, ensure the accuracy of client data in CRM systems, and assist in crafting proposals, presentations, and contracts. Their work spans across multiple departments such as front office, catering, and operations, requiring collaboration to meet and exceed client expectations.

The primary responsibilities also include planning and coordinating events, conferences, and group bookings, requiring attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure flawless execution. The Sales & Events Coordinator acts as a key point of contact for clients, supporting them throughout the booking and event processes with professionalism and exceptional service. They will conduct site inspections and assist with promotional activities to boost brand awareness and generate new business leads. This role demands excellent communication and multitasking abilities, with occasional evening or weekend work during peak event periods. The successful candidate will bring a passion for hospitality, a strong customer service ethos, and preferably experience within the luxury hotel market of Palm Springs. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in sales or customer service
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
