With a strong culture of hospitality and excellence, Shoreby Club emphasizes personalized service and strives to create memorable moments for every visitor. The club is a vibrant community hub where relationships are valued, and the experience is always tailored to exceed expectations.
The Sales & Event Manager at Shoreby Club plays a crucial role in leading the sales, planning, and execution of private events, ranging from weddings and corporate meetings to social celebrations and various private functions. This role is primarily focused on generating banquet and event revenue while maintaining close coordination with clients and the club’s operational teams. Serving as the primary liaison, the Sales & Event Manager ensures clear communication throughout every stage of the event process, from the initial inquiry to post-event completion. This position requires a professional who is relationship-driven, highly organized, and passionate about delivering a hospitality experience that aligns with Shoreby’s culture of excellence.
In addition to sales duties, this role involves detailed event planning and coordination responsibilities. This includes managing menus, room setups, timelines, audiovisual requirements, décor, entertainment, and any special requests that clients may have. The Sales & Event Manager is responsible for conducting thorough planning meetings, preparing detailed banquet event orders (BEOs), and actively managing events onsite to ensure flawless delivery. The ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced, sophisticated environment is crucial.
Member experience is a significant focus of this position, as the Sales & Event Manager works closely with members and guests to assist in planning private celebrations and club events. Building strong relationships and anticipating member needs are essential to enhance engagement and encourage repeat business. Additionally, the role involves teamwork and collaboration with various departments including the Executive Chef, Food & Beverage Manager, Banquet Team, and Club Leadership to ensure seamless operations and event profitability.
Administrative responsibilities are also integral to this role, involving maintaining accurate event records, managing contracts, deposits, billing, event calendars, and preparing detailed reports on sales performance, event trends, and revenue generation. Compliance with club policies and high service standards is mandatory.
This full-time, year-round, exempt salaried position offers a competitive salary ranging from $55,000 to $60,000 per year plus bonus. The role demands flexibility with scheduling as it supports club operations during mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on business needs. Shoreby Club fosters a positive and friendly work environment with a hardworking, respectful, and fun-spirited team. Benefits include paid medical coverage, paid time off, 401(k), free meals, staff outings, and numerous other perks designed to create an enriching employment experience. A complete background check is conducted for selected candidates. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated and skilled professional passionate about event management and hospitality to join an esteemed private club and contribute to creating truly exceptional experiences.
