This role presents an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and proactive Catering Sales Manager who is passionate about selling an all-new experience at The Zachari Dunes. The Sales and Catering Manager will play a crucial role in driving the business forward by developing market segments, soliciting new customer relationships, and negotiating business through proposals and contracts to successfully close sales. The position involves a creative approach to designing menus and events that maximize both revenue and the overall event experience. This role primarily handles complex social events, requiring a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage logistics seamlessly among various departments and team members. The manager will serve as the primary contact for clients, ensuring a high level of service consistently throughout all event phases, including contracting, pre-event, event execution, and post-event follow-up.

Essential functions include organizing, planning, and prioritizing tasks to meet goals, communicating efficiently with internal and external clients, and fostering strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will demonstrate profound knowledge of job systems, processes, and products while effectively resolving conflicts, negotiating, and influencing both internal teams and external clients. Problem-solving skills and timely decision-making are vital to succeed in this role. The manager will also participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary. Regular attendance and professionalism are expected at all times. The hourly salary range for this role is $25.00 to $28.00, dependent on experience and location. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in sales or catering sales preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

  • Must demonstrate professionalism and reliability

Job Duties

  • Organize, plan and prioritize duties by developing plans and goals
  • Timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person
  • Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations
  • Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, systems, and processes
  • Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts
  • Sell and influence both internal and external clients
  • Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating issues to determine the best solution
  • Ensure high quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand guest needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed
  • Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process
  • Direct event logistics to affected departments and team members responsible for event execution
  • Serve as the primary contact and be responsible for the client experience throughout event phases
