The role of Sales & Catering Manager at CMC Hotels is a critical position that demands a high level of responsibility and expertise in maximizing revenues across catering and assigned group segments. As the Sales & Catering Manager, you will spearhead efforts in account management, client solicitation, and generating new business by executing detailed strategic action plans aligned with CMC Hotels' sales policies and procedures. The position requires a nuanced understanding of various event types, including weddings, social gatherings, and corporate events, to effectively manage and oversee every phase of these functions—from pre-event planning to post-event review. Key responsibilities include diligently tracking event particulars such as room blocks, meeting space usage, special concessions, group history, critical dates, contract details, and ensuring precise billing for all group activities. The role also involves supervising event setup and implementation, maintaining clear communication between departments for accurate event order execution, and actively engaging with clients through property tours, meetings, and promotional activities.

Successful candidates for the Sales & Catering Manager position will bring strong mathematical skills for forecasting and budgeting, an in-depth ability to analyze market data and competitor activity, and a strategic approach to negotiating sales while maintaining hotel profitability. Essential technical skills encompass exceptional interpersonal abilities to build trust and relationships, strong organizational and time management competencies, proficient networking talents within the business community, and mastery of clerical and computer skills necessary for researching leads, managing communications, and qualifying potential clients. Furthermore, the role demands a creative flair for designing catering layouts that optimize space and enhance guest experiences, alongside extensive knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette. Candidates should also be physically capable of handling materials weighing up to 20 pounds on occasion. Office hours are typically from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with flexibility required for weekends and after-hours as group business necessitates. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking company where your efforts will directly influence the success of both clients and the hotel’s market positioning.
