Job Description
We are an established high-volume venue specializing in hosting a diverse array of events, including corporate meetings, social celebrations, and weddings. Known for delivering exceptional experiences, our venue combines a strong brand presence with an entrepreneurial environment that encourages innovation and collaboration. Our teams of culinary experts, banquet staff, and operational professionals work seamlessly to create memorable and flawless events. This professional atmosphere offers ample growth opportunities for those motivated by success and driven by a passion for hospitality and sales.
We are currently seeking a high-performing Sales & Catering Manager to lead our event sales initiatives and drive revenue growth across multiple market segments. This role is ideal for an experienced hospitality sales professional with a strong sales mindset, excellent relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of event operations within upscale environments such as hotels, clubs, or restaurants. The Sales & Catering Manager will be responsible for managing the entire sales cycle from initial prospecting and venue tours to negotiation, contract closing, and post-event client relationship management.
This position offers a competitive base salary plus commission, providing a lucrative opportunity for a salesperson who excels at closing deals and upselling premium event offerings. Beyond sales, the manager will act as the primary client liaison throughout the event planning and execution phases, working closely with culinary, banquet, and operational teams to ensure every detail meets or exceeds client expectations. This includes collaboration on menus, décor, timelines, and logistics, ensuring seamless and successful events.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a confident and consultative selling style, thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic hospitality environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are paramount, as is the ability to remain composed under pressure and adapt quickly to evolving client needs. Experience with leading event management and sales technologies, including TripleSeat, AllSeated, Opera, Jonas, Micros, and POS systems, is preferred to enhance workflow efficiency and client engagement.
Ideal applicants will hold an associate or bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field, or possess equivalent professional experience. The role demands flexibility to work some evenings and weekends to accommodate event schedules and requires basic cooking knowledge or operational familiarity to effectively collaborate with culinary staff. This blend of sales expertise, hospitality knowledge, and operational coordination makes this an exciting and rewarding opportunity for anyone looking to advance their career in event sales and catering management within a well-respected venue.
