ARLLC, operating as Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center, is a renowned hotel and event venue offering world-class services for conferences, meetings, and social gatherings. With a prime location, the Augusta Marriott is dedicated to excellence in hospitality, providing guests and clients with tailored experiences designed to meet diverse event needs. The hotel boasts modern facilities, versatile meeting spaces, and a committed team focused on delivering outstanding customer service. As part of Marriott International, one of the most recognized hospitality brands globally, Augusta Marriott maintains high standards for quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency, making it a leader in the hotel and convention center industry.

The role of Sales and Catering Manager within Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center is a critical position responsible for driving revenue through proactive solicitation of business opportunities and managing client relationships. This salaried exempt administrative position reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing and offers a competitive salary range of $53,000 to $55,000 annually. The Sales and Catering Manager ensures that all customer expectations are met with precision, from initial contracting and negotiation to event execution and post-event follow-up. Customer satisfaction and retention are key measures of success, achieved through detailed attention to service delivery, event coordination, and cost management.

This role demands a strategic and proactive approach to market segment accounts, involving accurate costing and profitable pricing strategies integrated with the hotel’s event planning (CI.TY program). The Sales and Catering Manager works closely with various departments to guarantee smooth communication and flawless event execution. Key responsibilities include upselling menu items, finalizing food and beverage requirements, and maintaining ongoing contact with clients to ensure satisfaction before, during, and after events. Strong collaboration with off-property sales channels such as Event Booking Center and Strategic Accounts ensures that efforts are complementary and not duplicative.

The position requires a thorough understanding of the primary target customer and the ability to offer innovative business solutions tailored to client needs. The Sales and Catering Manager acts as the liaison during program events to address daily customer needs and maintain high standards of service. Additionally, the role involves monitoring forecasting and budgets, staffing inspections, and ensuring safety and hospitality programs are adhered to. This includes knowledge of catering standard operating procedures and maintaining a high level of professionalism and courtesy in all client communications.

Candidates must be prepared to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, as business needs demand. The Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center values team members who are dedicated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused, with the ability to handle conflict professionally and foster loyalty through exceptional service. This role offers the opportunity to grow within a prestigious hospitality environment, contributing directly to the success of the hotel’s event services and overall guest experience. If you are passionate about hospitality, sales, and catering management, and excited to work in a vibrant, high-paced team setting, this position offers a rewarding career pathway with competitive benefits and the chance to make a significant impact.
