Job Description

Guest Services, Inc. is a premier hospitality management company and a National Park Service concessionaire founded in 1917. With over a century of experience, the company has developed an excellent reputation for providing best-in-class services across a vast array of client sites. These include luxury communities, hotels, resorts, government and business dining facilities, full-service restaurants, state and national parks, outdoor recreational facilities, boathouses, marinas, museums, conference centers, senior living communities, healthcare systems, educational dining facilities, and specialty retail stores. Guest Services prides itself on fostering an inclusive and equitable work environment where diversity is embraced, ensuring all employees can bring their authentic selves to work to deliver exceptional services to a broad spectrum of customers.

The Part-Time Sales & Catering Coordinator role is focused on providing onsite event support to ensure each event—from weddings and meetings to banquets and special occasions—is executed with professionalism and efficiency. This position acts as the key liaison onsite, bridging communication among clients, vendors, and internal operations teams. Primary responsibilities include assisting with event setup, execution, and breakdown across multiple event venues on the property. The coordinator is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality and guest service during these events.

Working primarily during evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional daytimes, this part-time position requires a flexible schedule tailored to the operational needs of the property. The coordinator will be tasked with welcoming clients and guests, verifying room layouts and event specifications, monitoring event timelines, and ensuring food and beverage service quality and compliance with sanitation and alcohol regulations. By collaborating with departments such as catering, culinary, bar, lodging, housekeeping, maintenance, and management, the coordinator guarantees seamless service delivery throughout the event lifecycle.

Physical presence at event venues across the property is essential to fulfill the role’s duties, including frequent walking, standing, lifting up to 35 pounds, and working indoors and outdoors under varied conditions. Event-specific equipment such as tables, chairs, linens, décor, signage, and service items are also handled routinely. Excellent customer service, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills are paramount to succeed in this fast-paced, dynamic environment. The role also requires adaptability and the ability to multitask effectively while maintaining calm and professionalism.

This position offers $16.00 USD hourly compensation and provides a valuable opportunity for individuals with a passion for hospitality and event coordination to contribute to memorable guest experiences in a respected and historic company. Guest Services, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion, inviting qualified applicants from all walks of life to apply.
