We are currently seeking a Sales & Catering Coordinator to join our dedicated Sales Department team. This position plays a vital role in supporting the sales and catering operations, ensuring seamless execution of group events and meetings within the hotel. The Sales & Catering Coordinator will be instrumental in managing the administrative side of sales activities and acting as a property liaison for clients and internal teams. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about event planning, customer service, and driving sales efficiency within the hospitality industry.

The Sales & Catering Coordinator will handle crucial responsibilities such as detailing and servicing group business, filtering sales leads to appropriate managers, planning event details, and managing banquet event orders. By facilitating communication and cooperation between the sales department and catering team, the coordinator helps maximize the revenue potential of the hotel's function spaces. Maintaining confidentiality and a professional demeanor in all dealings is essential.

Job Requirements

  • Prior experience in event planning or event sales required
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field preferred
  • Ability to efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional customer service with excellent communication

Job Duties

  • Responsible for detailing and servicing all group business turned over from the team and provide administrative support to the Sales & Catering team
  • Receive and filter all sales leads to the appropriate sales manager
  • Plan event details and act as property liaison for planning and execution of meetings/events, including outlining of details and Banquet Event Orders
  • Manage the sale efforts between the sales department and catering to ensure proper utilization of function space to yield maximum revenue
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all matters relating to The Quail
