Currently, Ruth's Chris Steak House is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pantry Cook to join their culinary team. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift handle carry food smallwares equipment supplies and paper goods at a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Must be able to constantly stand and exert well-paced mobility for a period up to four hours in length
  • Must be able to bend kneel stoop reach and squat on a frequent basis to receive and store stock supplies and equipment as well as to work the line during service periods
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and listen attentively to supervisors employees vendors and guests
  • Must be able to taste to be able to distinguish between and among flavors spices temperatures mouth feel and smell to distinguish between and among odors and scents as to their appeal and level of intensity for all food and beverage products

Job Qualifications

  • 1+ year of pantry or cold-side kitchen experience preferred fine dining a plus
  • Strong knife skills and attention to presentation details
  • Ability to follow recipes and plating instructions with accuracy
  • Organized clean and efficient work habits
  • Dependable team-focused attitude with a passion for food

Job Duties

  • Prepare cold dishes with precision including salads appetizers desserts and garnishes
  • Follow standardized recipes and plating guides to ensure consistency and presentation
  • Ensure all items are prepared in a timely and accurate manner for guest orders
  • Maintain a clean organized and sanitized station throughout service
  • Assist with prep work restocking and closing duties as needed
