Job Description

Panera Bread is a well-established bakery-cafe chain known for its commitment to quality food and excellent customer service. With a mission to provide fresh, wholesome food to its customers in a warm and welcoming environment, Panera has become a leader in the fast-casual dining segment. The company prides itself on valuing its people first, creating a workplace that supports growth, individuality, and a positive team culture. This focus on its team members ensures that employees feel supported, enjoy great perks, and have opportunities for career advancement and leadership development. Panera Bread operates many locations across the country and maintains a reputation for serving real ingredients in a friendly, inviting setting, making it a popular choice for both dining in and takeout.

The Retail Team Member role at Panera, specifically the Salad and Sandwich Maker position, is an integral part of delivering the company’s promise of quality and service. As a Salad and Sandwich Maker, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling fresh salads, plating soups, and crafting sandwiches with care—distinguishing Panera from typical fast-food assembly lines. The role requires not only attention to detail but also the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and customer service. The position is designed for individuals who are passionate about food and enjoy creating dishes that delight guests.

This full-time role offers competitive pay ranging from $15.00 to $18.00 per hour, making it an attractive option for team members looking to earn while building valuable experience in the food service industry. Panera supports its team members with a variety of benefits including paid vacation, sick time, holidays, and comprehensive insurance options such as medical, dental, vision, life, and even pet insurance. In addition, the company provides a 401(k) with match, tuition discounts, and numerous perks and rewards to encourage growth and recognize hard work. Flexible and reliable scheduling is available to help balance work with other commitments, and free on-shift meals along with unlimited fountain beverages add to the appeal.

In this role, you will be expected to maintain a positive attitude, adapt to changing priorities, and uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in your work area. Panera emphasizes creating a culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust, where all team members contribute to an environment that is welcoming to guests and supportive among colleagues. As a Salad and Sandwich Maker, your ability to communicate clearly, work collaboratively, and celebrate team successes will be key to your personal and professional satisfaction in this role. This position is an excellent opportunity to join a company that truly values its people and invests in their ongoing development and success. Whether you are new to food service or have prior experience, Panera Bread invites you to join their team and be part of making familiar food fantastic every day.
