Job Description

Young Life is a prominent Christian organization dedicated to evangelism and discipleship among youth. Operating with a clear and exclusive Christian purpose, Young Life actively seeks to influence young lives through its various ministry programs designed to foster spiritual growth and development. Established with a strong mission to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, Young Life emphasizes its commitment to Christian values, requiring all employees and volunteers to subscribe to a Statement of Faith. Those who join the organization must profess a belief in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord and actively support the ministry's principles during both working and nonworking hours. Young Life’s work is not only a job but a ministry endeavor, with a focus on servant leadership and fulfilling its Christian mission through various outreach programs.

The position available is for a Part-Time YoungLives Coordinator in the St. Vrain Valley area. The coordinator will be responsible for spiritual development, leadership development, resource development, direct ministry activities, and ministry support tasks. Reporting to the mission leadership, the YoungLives Coordinator will work closely with volunteers, mentors, community organizations, and donors to foster a supportive and spiritually nurturing environment. The coordinator will engage in continuous personal and professional growth and maintain healthy church relationships while ensuring effective ministry operations. This role is a blend of leadership, hands-on ministry involvement, community engagement, and fundraising, designed to empower teen mothers with the gospel and provide them with tangible support and care.

The YoungLives Coordinator will lead teams of mentors, childcare workers, and volunteers. They will engage in significant volunteer recruitment, training, and supervision while engaging in strategic planning to ensure ministry growth that reflects the community's needs. This role also involves raising financial support, maintaining donor relationships, and communicating ministry progress effectively. Additionally, the coordinator will have the opportunity to serve in Young Life camp settings during the summer, further enriching the ministry experience and outreach.

Spiritual discipline and growth are central to this role, demanding a dedicated personal development plan that includes prayer, retreat, reflection, and active participation in a church community. The YoungLives Coordinator is expected to model Christian excellence and promote a ministry atmosphere full of spiritual vitality. This position requires adherence to all Young Life policies, including those related to health, safety, finances, communication, and ministry practices, ensuring the organization’s high standards are met.

The YoungLives Coordinator position is ideal for an individual committed to Christ, with strong communication and leadership skills, a heart for teen mothers, and an ability to build meaningful relationships within diverse communities.
