Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in restaurant service preferred
  • ability to communicate clearly and politely with guests
  • basic math skills
  • physical ability to lift and carry trays
  • familiarity with point-of-sale systems
  • flexibility to work various shifts
  • positive attitude and team-oriented mindset

Job Qualifications

  • Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language of the restaurant trading area
  • have knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
  • possess basic math skills and ability to handle money and operate point-of-sale system
  • be able to safely lift and maneuver trays of food frequently

Job Duties

  • Welcome and greet guests
  • make all guests feel comfortable and let them know you are there to personally take care of them
  • inform guests of specials and menu changes
  • make recommendations guests will enjoy
  • answer questions about food beverages and restaurant services
  • take food and beverage orders and enter them into point-of-sale system
  • deliver food and beverages promptly to guests
  • perform side work at start and end of each shift as required
  • maintain clean service areas
  • monitor guests dining experience and ensure satisfaction
  • prepare final bill present check accept payment and process credit card charges
  • assist fellow servers and bartenders as needed
  • thank guests and invite them to return
  • fill in as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operation as directed
