Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in health and safety, engineering or related field
- Minimum 10 years experience in health and safety within manufacturing
- Experience in chemical or food industry preferred
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in OSHA regulations and compliance
- Ability to perform regular site inspections and risk assessments
- Capability to lead and mentor team members
- Physical ability to conduct frequent plant field visits using protective equipment
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred
- Minimum 10 years in health and safety role within manufacturing environment, preferably chemical or food industry
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial chemical processes
Job Duties
- Design, implement and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures
- Develop and execute training programs for managers and employees
- Ensure site adherence to OSHA regulations and conduct safety audits
- Lead weekly safety meetings and coordinate EHS training initiatives
- Conduct regular inspections to identify EHS risks and recommend corrective actions
- Spearhead Root Cause Analysis for incidents and near misses
- Collaborate with Corporate Environmental Department on environmental programs
- Manage workplace incident reporting and follow-up
- Oversee site Workers Compensation claims
- Champion Process Safety Management practices
- Perform routine job skills analysis and task assessments
- Promote safety culture and demonstrate management commitment
- Manage and mentor one safety professional
