The role of Safety Compliance Specialist within the Safety Training Department at UniFirst First Aid + Safety is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are reliable, hardworking, and passionate about safety education. Team Partners in this role are responsible for facilitating a variety of safety-related instructional classes at client locations, including CPR/First Aid, forklift safety, fire extinguisher safety, and other OSHA compliance courses. This position offers a 5-day work week schedule with two days off weekly, facilitating a healthy work-life balance with up to 40 hours per week. UniFirst provides on-the-job training to ensure that new team members are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed.
This position requires frequent travel to various customer locations using a company-provided vehicle, allowing instructors to engage closely with clients and support their ongoing compliance needs. In addition to training delivery, the Safety Compliance Specialist actively participates in customer outreach to schedule classes, promote safety training services, and sell related products. The role entails maintaining training equipment and company vehicles, completing accurate reporting via electronic devices such as iPads, and coordinating with the training center manager to align on goals and performance outcomes. Continuing education is a vital component of this position, with opportunities to expand expertise and increase the range of training offered.

Job Requirements
- High school or GED equivalent
- Age 18 or older
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record
- Minimum 2 years safety instructor experience preferred
- Current AHA CPR/AED/First Aid and BLS certification
- State credentialing preferred
- Sales experience preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Customer service skills
- Ability to travel
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
Job Qualifications
- High school and/or GED equivalent is required
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record is required
- Minimum of 2 years as a safety instructor providing CPR/First Aid, forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, fire safety and other common OSHA classes is highly preferred
- Current AHA certification to be an instructor in CPR/AED/First Aid and BLS
- Credentialing as required by state law for course to be taught or administered is preferred
- Experienced in sales and upselling additional safety-related products and services is preferred
- Ability to communicate course material in a clear and understandable manner
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to teach effectively in an adult learning environment
- Ability to travel within the designated territory
- Excellent communication skills for internal and external scheduling
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs at certain times
Job Duties
- Provide various safety training classes to customers including but not limited to CPR/First Aid, forklift safety, fire extinguisher safety
- Drive company provided vehicle to and from customer locations daily
- Contact customers by phone and email to schedule training
- Contact customers and prospects by phone and email to sell safety training services and products
- Clean and maintain all equipment including van and training equipment
- Complete required reporting
- Use iPad or other electronic devices to bill customers and complete training details
- Meet with the training center manager to discuss goals, objectives, and outcomes
- Work with internal resources to increase safety training base
- Complete ongoing continuing education to increase safety training offerings and knowledge
- Order supplies as needed
- Provide ongoing support of customers to maintain OSHA compliance
