The Safety and Training Manager role at MV Transportation is a critical leadership position that involves hands-on management to ensure all safety and training programs meet or exceed regulatory standards set by both state and federal agencies, including OSHA, EPA, FMCSA, FTA, and DOT. The manager will be responsible for implementing comprehensive safety and training programs, including new hire and refresher training, defensive driving courses, safety meetings, and emergency preparedness drills.

This position requires active leadership in ensuring all drivers and operators are up to date with current training requirements and that all safety manuals, policies, and procedures remain current and effectively aligned with both corporate and client contractual obligations. The Safety and Training Manager acts as the key expert and point of contact for CDL compliance and safety regulations, providing guidance and oversight at the division level. The role also involves analyzing safety data and trends to proactively develop strategies that reduce incidents and enhance overall safety outcomes.

Additional responsibilities include collaborating with corporate claims teams to manage liability and worker's compensation claims efficiently, minimizing lost work time, and facilitating the return of injured employees to light or full duty as promptly as possible. The manager will oversee safety incentive programs, conduct audits, and lead the coordination of classroom and hands-on driver instruction in line with strict specifications set by clients and corporate standards.
