This job posting is for a position at a restaurant that operates under the McDonald’s brand but is owned and managed by an independent franchisee. This franchisee holds a license to use McDonald’s logos and food products, operating the restaurant independently from McDonald’s USA. It is important to note that the franchisee is a separate entity from McDonald’s USA and is solely responsible for all employment-related matters including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling of employees. McDonald’s USA does not influence or control the employment decisions or processes at this restaurant, and it does not receive or review job applications submitted for this position.

The role available is for a General Manager, which is a pivotal leadership position responsible for managing the overall operations of the restaurant. The General Manager’s primary focus is to run a profitable restaurant while ensuring adherence to McDonald’s critical customer standards: quality, service, and cleanliness. These standards require a high level of dedication, attention to detail, and leadership. The General Manager works closely with their leaders to set clear restaurant goals and develops actionable plans to meet and exceed those goals. A key part of this role is leading a team of Department Managers, each responsible for specific operational areas within the restaurant. The General Manager not only helps these Department Managers in setting their objectives but also monitors their progress, provides coaching, and offers direction to improve their departments, which ultimately contributes to improved overall restaurant performance.
In addition to managing current staff, the General Manager may also be tasked with hiring, training, and developing new Department and Shift Managers to ensure a well-prepared leadership team for future challenges. Candidates with previous experience as a General Manager running high volume restaurants are ideal. Experience in quick service restaurants is strongly preferred, although candidates with backgrounds in hospitality or retail may also find this role a suitable fit. Individuals applying must be 18 years or older.
