The role of SA Cylinder Control Coordinator is crucial for accurately managing Strategic Account cylinder balances and ensuring precise billing. The position, based in either Largo, Florida or Tulsa, Oklahoma, involves coordinating large projects related to cylinder disputes raised by external and internal stakeholders such as Airgas Branches, Divisional Accounts Receivable teams, and National Account Managers. This role demands a high level of attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with contractual audit obligations, tracking customer agreements relating to cylinder audits and reconciliations, and generating detailed reports for senior management to assess cylinder exposure.

In this capacity, the Coordinator works closely with various teams across the business, including the Central Service Desk, sales, special billing teams, and collections representatives. They act as a liaison to promote the adoption of best practices in cylinder management that align with profitability goals. The role also involves identifying opportunities to increase rent revenue, reduce costs, and manage lost rent revenue reports effectively. Strong communication skills are essential, as the Coordinator must engage with individuals at all organizational levels, including senior management and sales leaders.

Candidates must have at least a high school diploma, 1 to 3 years of work experience, and intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google Sheets, including proficiency with formulas and pivot tables. The ideal candidate will have the capability to handle multiple projects efficiently and have prior experience related to branch operations, inventory management, or similar roles. Familiarity with SAP or Business Warehouse systems, along with knowledge of the industrial gases industry and Airgas business operations, is preferred. Job Qualifications

  • Prefer 1 year related work experience in branch role, inventory management or support
  • Experience with computer systems and related tools: SAP or Business Warehouse
  • Industry experience or knowledge of Airgas business and production/distribution network preferred

Job Duties

  • Track Strategic Account customer agreements which have requirements related to cylinder audits/reconciliations
  • Coordinate completion while measuring and reporting results
  • Create reports related to customers with even exchange requirements and work with branches to make any necessary corrections
  • Proactively review customers with no sales activity other than rent revenue, research and resolve if required
  • Proactively identify opportunities for charging rent and redeploying cylinders (Lost Rent Revenue Report)
  • Work with National Account Managers on increasing revenue and/or reducing cost to serve
  • Identify and communicate potential mode changes and revenue impact to internal stakeholders
  • Reconcile and coordinate billing Loss of Use when required
  • Create reports useful for senior management to understand cylinder exposure for Strategic Account Cylinder balances
  • Work with the Central Service Desk, Branches, National Account Managers, Strategic Account Business Management Team, Regions and Division Teams as required to maintain accurate Strategic Account customer cylinder balances and rental billing
  • Act as a liaison between customers, branches, sales, special billing teams, and Customer Service / Collections Representatives
  • Promote adoption of best practices in cylinder management that are in alignment with Strategic Account profitability goals
