Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Minimum one year experience in a similar luxury hotel role
  • Ability to handle multiple guest requests with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of local attractions and hotel services
  • Ability to use hotel management systems such as OPERA and ALICE
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Physical ability to exert effort including lifting up to 35 pounds
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of experience in a similar capacity for a luxury or ultra-luxury hotel
  • High school diploma or equivalent education required
  • Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
  • Must prioritize, organize and follow up
  • Must be a clear thinker, remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment
  • Must follow directions thoroughly
  • Understand a guest's service needs
  • Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team

  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and hotel data
  • Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Thorough knowledge of local restaurants, museums and attractions
  • Thorough knowledge of current events in and around the region

  • Ability to access, input, analyze and retrieve information from computers
  • Exceptional oral communication skills
  • Ability to converse calmly with upset or irate guests
  • Ability to focus and maintain attention despite frequent interruptions
  • Ability to memorize and quickly retrieve data
  • Required to speak, read and write English, fluency in other languages preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License with ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles

Job Duties

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards
  • Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis
  • Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day
  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all hotel features, services, hours of operation, restaurant concepts, menus, dress codes, room types, room rates, and local events
  • Coordinate guest requests with vendors including transportation, reservations, and special services
  • Document all pertinent information in guest request logs, monitor and update throughout shifts
  • Assist with Butler services and coordinate with Food and Beverage and Sales teams on special requests
  • Use OPERA and ALICE systems to assist guest requests
  • Cross train and assist other departments as needed
  • Assist Guest Services with parking during peak times
