The role of the Runner/Expo is integral to our restaurant's success. As the lynchpin between the kitchen and guests, you will be in constant motion, ensuring that plates are finished staff-ready in the kitchen and food is delivered quickly and accurately to each guest. Your responsibilities include describing dishes to enhance the dining experience, handling or relaying guest requests efficiently, and maintaining effective communication between kitchen and waitstaff. This position requires a high level of energy, excellent multitasking abilities, and a keen attention to detail. Whether you are explaining daily specials or troubleshooting order issues, your role is to enhance guest satisfaction and support the kitchen team by ensuring smooth and efficient service. Overall, the Runner/Expo plays a key role in maintaining the quality and speed of service that defines our restaurant's reputation, contributing directly to the overall guest experience.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • ensure timely delivery of food from kitchen to guests
  • communicate guest requests and special orders to kitchen staff
  • describe menu items and specials to guests
  • manage the food pick-up and delivery process efficiently
  • coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to maintain workflow
  • monitor food presentation and quality before delivery
  • assist with clearing and resetting tables as needed
