The role of Runner/Expo is pivotal within the restaurant's operational flow, acting as the crucial link between the kitchen and the guests. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience as a runner or expo preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and politely with guests and team members
  • Physical stamina to stand and move throughout shifts
  • Availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Knowledge of menu items and ingredients a plus
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Basic food safety knowledge

Job Duties

  • Read tickets finish plates and run food or delegate to a team member
  • Describe dish being dropped at the guest's table and ensure they are satisfied before returning to the kitchen
  • Retrieve any items guests may need to accompany their meal
  • Assist servers in side work during down times
  • Be sure station is set with all items needed by both the BOH and the FOH
  • Maintain a clean workstation
