The role of the Runner within the Post Production Creative Services department is essential to the smooth operation and success of post production projects at Warner Bros. Discovery. This position focuses on client services, daily operations support, and facilitating communication between post-production staff, clients, and other departments. Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Post Production Creative Services, the Runner ensures efficient scheduling, timely issue resolution, and high-quality client support. Operating in a fast-paced production environment, the Runner serves as a reliable point of contact to coordinate daily needs and maintain an organized and professional setting.

Key responsibilities for the Runner include managing front office operations such as phone handling and scheduling, maintaining production supplies, coordinating food orders and logistics for the crew and stages, and tracking employee time and attendance. Moreover, the Runner aids in sales and post production support by preparing bids, conducting research, and maintaining spreadsheets for sales tracking and reporting. The role also involves utilizing Media Pulse scheduling software and tracking departmental analytics to optimize workflow and productivity.

Candidates for the Runner position should possess strong organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to multitask and problem-solve in high-pressure environments.   • 1+ year experience in post production (sound and/or picture) preferred
  • Familiarity with Media Pulse scheduling software preferred
  • College degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Knowledge of the Local #700 Collective Bargaining Agreement a plus

Job Duties

  • Coordinate daily client service needs and ensure a high level of support
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, staff and production teams
  • Respond to requests and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain a strong on-site presence to support post production and client needs
  • Manage front office operations, including phones and scheduling support
  • Order and maintain office and production supplies
  • Coordinate food orders and logistics for stages and crews
  • Track and submit employee time and attendance records
  • Code and track work orders across multiple stages
  • Perform general administrative tasks as needed
  • Ensure stages are set up, stocked, clean and prepared for clients
  • Assist with TV and feature sales support, including bid preparation and research
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets for sales tracking and reporting
  • Track departmental data and sales metrics using Excel
  • Utilize Media Pulse scheduling software
  • Time and attendance submitter for represented employees
  • Coding/tracking work orders for multiple profit centers
