Job Description
Pacific Catch, Inc. is a dynamic and rapidly growing restaurant company known for its commitment to exceptional hospitality and high-quality food offerings. With a strong emphasis on creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, Pacific Catch is dedicated to attracting, nurturing, and retaining outstanding team members who exemplify the company’s core values and hospitality standards. The company’s success is deeply rooted in the passion and dedication of its employees, fostering a culture where personal and professional growth is encouraged and where every team member feels valued and cared for. At Pacific Catch, the focus is on delivering first-class service to every guest that walks through the door, making it a top choice for both customers and prospective employees alike.
The Food Runner position at Pacific Catch plays a crucial role in ensuring excellent dining experiences by delivering food and beverages promptly and accurately to guests. This part-time, hourly, non-exempt role offers a competitive wage of $16.90 per hour with flexible scheduling, though weekend availability is essential. Food Runners report directly to the General Manager and are expected to be proactive, detail-oriented, and excellent communicators. The core responsibilities involve running food and drinks to the correct tables, verifying order accuracy, and maintaining clear communication between the kitchen and serving staff.
In addition to the fundamental task of delivering food, Food Runners at Pacific Catch are expected to be knowledgeable about the menu’s ingredients and components to assist guests with any dietary questions or preferences. They also ensure that guests’ tables are properly stocked with necessary condiments, clean dishes, utensils, glassware, and serving implements. During slower periods, Food Runners actively support other team members and take initiatives such as restocking to-go supplies and maintaining organized server stations.
Physical stamina and care for restaurant equipment are important, as the role often requires standing for extended periods, mobility across the dining area, and lifting up to 35 pounds. Pacific Catch values the careful handling of all dishes, silverware, and glassware to minimize breakage, underscoring the company’s attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
Overall, the Food Runner position is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy fast-paced environments, thrive on teamwork, and are passionate about enhancing guest experiences through exceptional service. Pacific Catch offers a fun, inclusive work environment that promotes growth and values its employees’ contributions, making it an ideal workplace for those seeking a rewarding role in the hospitality industry.
