The position being offered is for a full-time, non-management role based at the New York Marriott Marquis. This role is fundamental in supporting the hotel's operational flow in guest services. The pay range for this position is competitive, ranging from $33.86 to $39.83 per hour, reflecting the importance of this role within the hotel's service ecosystem. The responsibilities encompass a broad spectrum of support tasks including testing communications equipment like beepers and radios to ensure they function correctly, delivering and placing requested items in guest rooms such as rollaway beds and refrigerators, and providing complimentary toiletries like toothpaste, razors, and shampoo to enhance the guest's comfort.

Further duties involve delivering messages, mail, faxes, packages, flowers, sundry items, and gift items to guest rooms promptly, ensuring that guests' additional needs are met with efficiency and professionalism. The role may also include assembling orders for food and beverage for guests who opt for room service or to-go orders. Associates are expected to adhere strictly to company policies and procedures, report any workplace accidents or unsafe conditions, maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times, and safeguard proprietary company information and assets.

Exceptional guest interaction is a cornerstone of this role, requiring associates to welcome and acknowledge guests warmly, anticipate and address their service needs proactively, assist individuals with disabilities appropriately, and consistently express genuine appreciation toward guests. Effective communication skills are essential, as is the ability to foster positive working relationships with team members to achieve common goals and uphold quality assurance standards.

Physically, the job requires the capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, move and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds, navigate confined or elevated spaces safely, and perform a variety of physical motions such as bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. The ability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects is also part of the daily responsibilities.

Job Duties
