The role available at the New York Marriott Marquis is a full-time, non-management position designed to support the Rooms & Guest Services Operations team. This position offers an hourly pay range of $33.86 to $39.83, reflecting the value Marriott places on quality service and employee expertise. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring guests receive timely and efficient delivery of requested items directly to their rooms. Duties include delivering items such as fold-away beds, refrigerators, towels, bathrobes, complimentary toiletries like toothpaste, razors, and shampoo, as well as food, flowers, packages, and correspondence. Maintaining communication equipment such as radios and beepers is essential to support team coordination and operational efficiency.

Job Duties

  • Probe beepers and radios to ensure communication equipment functions properly
  • place requested items such as fold-away beds and refrigerators in guest rooms
  • deliver additional towels, bathrobes, and other guest amenities
  • provide complimentary toiletries like toothpaste, razors, and shampoo
  • deliver items including food, messages, toiletries, correspondence, faxes, packages, flowers, gifts and various articles to guest rooms
  • deliver fold-away beds, cribs, linens, toiletries and other requested items to guest rooms
  • comply with all company safety policies and procedures
  • report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents or injuries
  • complete training and safety certifications
  • ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • maintain privacy of company information and protect company property
  • support coworkers with dignity and respect
  • assist team in achieving common goals
  • meet quality assurance standards
  • move, lift, transport, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 50 pounds without assistance
  • stand, sit or walk for prolonged periods
  • read and visually verify information in various formats
