The role of the runner is pivotal within the theatre's service team. Classified as either a variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular, or full-time hourly employee based on theatre needs and employee availability, the runner’s core responsibility is delivering food and beverage orders efficiently and courteously to guests at their designated seats or tables. This position demands a genuine concern for guest satisfaction and represents an essential link in the theatre’s service chain, ensuring that each guest’s experience is seamless and enjoyable. The runner must be knowledgeable about the Regal Crown Club Program and able to handle all types of payment methods including cash, credit cards, travelers' checks, gift cards, and coupons. Additionally, the runner is responsible for managing their cash drawer accurately and following proper procedures for refunds, voids, and sell outs. The role also involves maintaining vigilance about company policies such as the enforcement of the MPAA rating system, proper phone etiquette, and emergency procedures. Cleanliness, good guest service techniques, and adherence to the company dress code are also vital components of this position. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a proactive attitude towards ensuring guest satisfaction by greeting and thanking all guests. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent if not currently a high school student
- Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as box office cashier or progress towards completion required
- Ability to handle and manage cash and payment processing accurately
- Good public speaking and communication skills
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations quickly and accurately
- Ability to identify problems and take appropriate actions
- Ability to work under pressure and opposition
- Compliance with federal and state laws regarding breaks and meal periods
- Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, talk and hear
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Occasional lifting of up to 60 pounds
- Vision requirements including close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to complete required training including sexual harassment and discrimination courses

Job Duties
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Knowledge of and promotion of Regal Crown Club Program
- Handling of all monies including cash, credit cards, travelers checks, gift cards and coupons
- Knowledge of all passes and discount tickets accepted by Regal and their proper handling procedures
- Responsibility for accuracy of their cash drawer and all other passes and discount tickets accepted
- Filling out the Daily Pass Log
- Proper refund and void procedures
- Proper sell out procedures
- Knowledge and enforcement of the MPAA rating system
- Proper phone usage
- Knowledge of all emergency, evacuation and robbery procedures
- General cleaning duties
- Proper use of all cleaning materials
- Good guest service techniques
- Knowledge of counterfeit bill procedures
- Ability to properly reload ticket stock into the printer
- Knowledge and compliance of dress code
- Ensuring guest satisfaction by smiling, greeting, and thanking all guests
- Abide by all federal and state laws with regards to breaks and meal periods
- Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as a box office cashier or progress towards completion
- Required to read and understand training materials that cover subjects such as sexual harassment and discrimination
