Job Description

550 Madison is the latest and most ambitious project by Gracious Hospitality Management, an award-winning hospitality company renowned for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This multi-level, 15,000-square-foot dining destination is housed inside the iconic Sony Building in Midtown Manhattan. The project features three distinct and celebrated concepts: the second New York location of the Michelin-starred COTE Korean Steakhouse, an all-day multi-bar and dining concept called Chimera, and an intimate sushi restaurant led by Michelin-starred Chef Masahiro Yoshitake, Sushi Yoshitake. The sleek design, by the acclaimed Rockwell Group with collaboration from Yoshio Itai on the sushi concept, aims to redefine immersive and transportive dining in one of New York City's most vibrant neighborhoods.

As 550 Madison prepares for its grand opening in Spring 2026, the company is seeking dynamic and experienced hospitality professionals to join their expanding team. This opportunity offers a comprehensive on-site training program designed to support new hires and ensure they are fully prepared to deliver outstanding service from day one. Candidates with passion for hospitality, a strong work ethic, and eagerness to grow within a celebrated management team are encouraged to apply.

The role of a Runner at 550 Madison is pivotal in enhancing the guest dining experience through the rapid and elegant delivery of food orders from kitchen to table. Runners are responsible for presenting dishes with detailed explanations of their components, including noting any allergy information or special accommodations. This position functions as a key liaison between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, ensuring that communication flows seamlessly and that guests receive their orders accurately and promptly.

550 Madison maintains exceptional standards that reflect the company's values, including respect, sustainability, stewardship, and the cultivation of a positive team culture. Employees are expected to demonstrate professionalism, maintain cleanliness and safety standards, and actively participate in ongoing training and development opportunities. The position demands stamina and attention to detail, as runners frequently navigate the bustling dining environment, often carrying heavy trays and ensuring that every element of service meets the high quality for which Gracious Hospitality Management is known.

Compensation at 550 Madison complies with New York State's Pay Transparency Law. The hourly pay range for this role is set at $12.65. Alongside competitive wages, the company offers a well-rounded benefits package for both full-time and part-time employees, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, commuter benefits, and career advancement programs.

Further, 550 Madison is committed to equal employment opportunities, embracing diversity, and providing accommodations to qualified individuals needing assistance to perform essential job functions. Hospitality professionals joining this team will become part of an innovative and respected leader within the New York City restaurant scene. The forthcoming open call hiring events provide an excellent opportunity for potential candidates to meet the team, learn about the culture, and explore the wide range of positions available across all departments from prep cooks to servers. This role offers growth potential within a high-profile culinary project with renowned chefs and a new vision for dining excellence.
