Job Description

Pacific Catch, Inc. is a well-established and beloved restaurant chain known for delivering exceptional dining experiences centered around fresh, sustainable seafood and a warm, inviting atmosphere. As part of the hospitality industry, Pacific Catch prides itself on its commitment to quality, community, and creating a welcoming environment for both guests and team members. The company operates multiple locations, each dedicated to serving thoughtfully prepared dishes with an emphasis on flavor, freshness, and outstanding service. The culture at Pacific Catch emphasizes teamwork, respect, and personal growth, fostering an environment where employees feel valued and empowered to succeed.

The role of Food Runner at Pacific Catch is an integral part of the guest experience, as these team members are responsible for ensuring that food and beverages arrive promptly and accurately to the correct tables. This position is part-time, hourly, and non-exempt, with a competitive hourly wage of $16.90. Food Runners report directly to the General Manager and must demonstrate flexibility with schedules, including weekend availability, to meet the dynamic needs of the restaurant.

A Food Runner at Pacific Catch embodies hospitality, attention to detail, and teamwork. They provide first-class service by carefully handling dishes and beverages, ensuring that orders match what was requested, and communicating effectively with servers and kitchen staff regarding any discrepancies or issues. Beyond simply delivering food, Food Runners enhance the dining experience by anticipating guests’ needs such as providing condiments, clean utensils, and appropriate serving implements. During slower periods, Food Runners proactively support other team members or assist with side tasks like to-go order preparation and stocking server stations, contributing to the smooth operation of the dining area.

This position requires a genuine passion for hospitality and the ability to maintain high energy and mobility for extended periods. Physical stamina is essential as the role demands standing for up to five hours at a time, frequent lifting of up to 35 pounds, as well as bending, reaching, and stooping. Food Runners also need to be knowledgeable about Pacific Catch’s menu ingredients and components to appropriately inform guests or guide them on where to find more details.

Overall, the Food Runner position at Pacific Catch offers an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to grow within a dynamic restaurant environment that values exceptional service, employee development, and a supportive team culture. This role is ideal for those who thrive in high-paced settings, enjoy interacting with people, and are eager to contribute to a positive and memorable dining experience for every guest.
