Job Description

Pacific Catch, Inc. is a renowned restaurant company known for its commitment to excellent service, quality food, and a warm dining experience inspired by the vibrant flavors of the Pacific Coast. With a focus on fresh seafood, innovative dishes, and a welcoming atmosphere, Pacific Catch has built a strong brand that resonates with both locals and visitors alike. The company places high value on culture and community, striving to foster an energetic and respectful environment for both guests and team members. Their philosophy centers around hospitality being more than just a service — it's a standard that defines every interaction and every dish served.

The Food Runner position at Pacific Catch, Inc. is a crucial part of the restaurant’s team, responsible for ensuring guests receive their meals promptly and courteously, contributing to a memorable dining experience. This part-time, hourly role is designed for individuals who take pride in excellent hospitality and enjoy engaging with guests and team members alike. Food Runners help maintain seamless communication between the kitchen and front-of-house, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in the delivery of food and beverages. The role demands attentiveness to detail, an understanding of the menu and ingredients, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

Food Runners report directly to the General Manager and play an integral role as part of the restaurant team by elevating guest satisfaction through efficient service and team collaboration. The role requires weekend availability and flexibility in scheduling, as hours vary and are not guaranteed week by week. Compensation for this non-exempt position is $18.70 per hour, reflecting the company’s commitment to valuing its employees and competitive pay within the hospitality industry.

In fulfilling their duties, Food Runners ensure orders are correct by carefully checking the items before delivering, communicate any discrepancies to the kitchen or servers, and assist in making sure that tables are fully equipped with appropriate utensils, glassware, and condiments. Additionally, they are expected to uphold high standards of cleanliness and care for all restaurant equipment to minimize breakage, demonstrating respect for the tools and resources that support the restaurant’s operations.

This position not only offers a chance to contribute to the success of a thriving restaurant brand but also provides opportunities for personal and professional growth within a supportive and inclusive team environment. Candidates gain valuable experience in customer service, learn about food preparation and hospitality standards, and work within a culture that values diversity and teamwork. The Pacific Catch family embraces individuals who live out the company’s core values and hospitality standards, making this a great opportunity for those passionate about food service and guest relations to thrive and develop in the hospitality industry.
