Job Description
This position is with a professional office that handles diverse administrative tasks for legal services. The establishment prides itself on maintaining a well-organized and efficient work environment, enabling staff to focus on their individual roles with robust administrative support. As a company that serves legal professionals and clients, excellence in communication, attention to detail, and reliability are critical values the organization upholds. Located in an accessible office setting, the company offers a full-time opportunity for individuals who thrive in a dynamic, supportive workplace. The work environment is in-office, emphasizing cooperation and direct engagement with colleagues across all departments to ensure smooth operational flow. Compensation for this role ranges from $18 to $20 per hour, reflective of the responsibilities and skills required to excel within the company's standards.
The role itself is centered on mailroom operations and office logistics, key to supporting the everyday needs of the office. As the Mail Room Coordinator, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of mail processing, from receiving and sorting incoming packages and letters to managing postage and sending outgoing mail effectively. A critical part of the job includes organizing office supplies and ensuring that inventory is maintained adequately to support daily activities. Your responsibilities extend beyond mailroom tasks to involve physical demands like moving and lifting large boxes, which underscores the importance of physical capability in this role. Additionally, the position requires setting up workstations for new hires, which helps foster a welcoming environment for new team members and ensures they have everything needed to start their roles promptly.
Collaboration is a significant element of this position, as you will provide essential support to both the Human Resources Manager and legal staff by assisting with various office management duties and special requests. Given the nature of the job, the role demands the use of a personal vehicle for driving to local offices to deliver mail and supplies, expanding your duties beyond the central office. This requirement highlights the need for someone with a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and proper vehicle insurance coverage.
Organizational skills, multi-tasking ability, and a proactive work ethic are vital since the environment is fast-paced and requires constant prioritization of duties without close supervision. Success in this role means maintaining an accurate, timely, and efficient mailroom and office supply function that directly contributes to the productivity and operational success of the entire company. Candidates who enjoy a role with varied tasks that support multiple teams and who possess a keen eye for detail will find this position rewarding and integral to the office's success.
