The role of a Shift Manager at Ru Yi is pivotal to the ongoing success of the venue. Responsible for overseeing the daily operations during assigned shifts, the Shift Manager plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of the venue. In addition to operational responsibilities, the Shift Manager actively engages in managing team schedules and inventory while maintaining budgetary goals through effective cost controls. Knowledge of the venue’s service standards, menu items, beverage selections, specials, promotions, events, and policies is essential for this role. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of progressively responsible related experience in a similar venue
  • One year of supervisory experience
  • Ability to achieve and maintain Responsible Alcohol and ServSafe certifications within 90 days
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and office equipment use
  • Experience with point-of-sale systems preferred
  • Ability to maintain discretion handling confidential information
  • Ability to work irregular hours including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical capability to meet the demands of the role including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to interact professionally with guests and all levels of staff
  • Flexibility to work at different venues as needed

Job Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of progressively responsible related experience in a venue of similar size
  • An Associate’s degree may substitute for one year of experience
  • One year of supervisory experience
  • Ability to achieve and maintain Responsible Alcohol and ServSafe certifications within 90 days
  • Proficiency with standard office equipment and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with point-of-sale systems preferred
  • Ability to maintain discretion when handling confidential information
  • Ability to interact professionally with guests and team members at all levels including speaking in front of small groups
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to talk, hear, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move for the duration of shifts
  • Ability to lift or move objects up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance
  • Specific vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

  • Work at other venues as assigned based on business needs
  • Ensure full compliance with departmental internal controls, policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
