The role of the RPSGT Day Sleep Technician at PAR is integral to the diagnosis and management of sleep disorders. This full-time, certified position is designed for individuals who are passionate about sleep medicine and patient care. The Technician is responsible for the evaluation, scoring, and treatment of sleep studies, patient education, as well as the maintenance and troubleshooting of CPAP equipment and related technologies. This position offers competitive pay ranging from $30.00 to $38.00 per hour depending on experience, coupled with a substantial $6,000 sign-on bonus paid in two installments at 6 months and one year of employment. In this capacity, the RPSGT Day Sleep Technician conducts and scores overnight sleep studies, interprets clinical events, and prepares reports adhering to industry guidelines. A key responsibility also involves educating patients on the proper use of CPAP therapy and performing mask fittings to optimize treatment compliance. The technician manages patient interactions, assists with equipment troubleshooting, coordinates with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) companies, and ensures accurate documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Participation in interscorer reliability programs and ongoing continuing education (CEUs) ensure that the technician’s skills and knowledge remain current with best practices.

Furthermore, the technician plays a crucial role in coordinating home sleep studies, managing patient needs, maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of sleep lab equipment, and supporting night shift technicians as needed. The position requires flexibility to work across PAR’s three locations, contributing to a dynamic and responsive healthcare delivery model. Adherence to HIPAA policies and PAR’s standards of excellent customer service is essential.
