The Route/Delivery Driver role at McArthur Next is vital in maintaining the company’s promise of excellent service and product quality. This position involves delivering a wide range of cold dairy products to various customer locations with punctuality, professionalism, and courtesy. The driver is responsible for loading and unloading products manually, ensuring that all loads are properly secured and transported in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and safety regulations. Daily responsibilities also include completing paperwork such as delivery tickets, pre-and post-trip inspections, driver logs, and vehicle service reports to maintain full compliance with regulatory and company standards.
This role demands an individual with a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with air brakes endorsement and a current DOT medical card. Candidates must have a clean driving record and the physical ability to perform demanding tasks such as lifting heavy cases of dairy products, climbing in and out of delivery trucks, and working in various indoor and outdoor conditions. The position often requires operating in a fast-paced warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures and surfaces that may be slippery. Safety is a key priority, and the role necessitates the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to workplace safety practices.
The ideal candidate is dependable, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and capable of working in a team environment. Effective communication skills are important for accurately completing delivery paperwork and handling customer transactions. McArthur Next provides training for individuals with limited experience, making this an excellent opportunity for those seeking to enter the delivery and logistics field while receiving professional development in a supportive environment.
This is a full-time position that may require overtime, weekend, and holiday work.
