UniFirst emphasizes a supportive and welcoming environment with an inclusive culture that values various backgrounds and perspectives. The role of Route Coverage Specialist at UniFirst is a vital service position essential to the success of daily operations. This dynamic and fast-paced opportunity involves stepping in to cover delivery routes when Route Service Representatives (RSRs) are unavailable, ensuring seamless and uninterrupted service for valued customers. Specialists receive comprehensive training across multiple routes, mastering customer-specific details to maintain top-tier service quality. The position demands adaptability, proactivity, and agility, characteristics suited for individuals who thrive in varied and changing environments. Responsibilities encompass safely transporting garments and products, managing operational tasks like inventory audits and invoicing, and providing problem-solving solutions to guarantee customer satisfaction and loyalty.

This role also emphasizes operational excellence and safety; specialists must follow all traffic laws and company policies, maintain their vehicle's condition, and continue to enhance their customer service skills. They collaborate closely with various departments such as Service, Production, Sales, and Office, supporting new account installations, rerouting efforts, and collections. The role offers opportunities for upselling and fostering strong customer relationships through effective communication and feedback. With an estimated pay range of $29.77 to $41.35 per hour, depending on experience and location, the position offers a competitive compensation package that includes 401(k) with company match, profit sharing, health and life insurance, paid time off, employee discounts, tuition reimbursement, and more.

UniFirst provides a balanced Monday-Friday day shift schedule, supporting work-life balance, and continuous career development through training and growth opportunities. Employees enjoy variety in their daily tasks, the autonomy to work independently, and the support of a collaborative team committed to service excellence.
