Job Description
Cintas Corporation is a leading provider of specialized services that help businesses of all types and sizes maintain clean, safe, and well-presented facilities. Founded and headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, this publicly traded Fortune 500 company has established itself as a trusted partner for over one million customers nationwide. Cintas supplies a wide range of products and services including uniforms, mats, mops, towels, restroom supplies, workplace water services, first aid and safety products, eye-wash stations, fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, and alarm services. With a reputation for quality and reliability, Cintas helps businesses stay prepared and compliant while enhancing their workplace environment.
The Route Service Representative position in the Rental Division at Cintas offers an exciting opportunity for service-oriented individuals to manage and grow customer accounts. This full-time, regular employee role primarily operates during the day shift on a structured route to deliver and pick up uniforms, shop towels, chemical cleaning products, and various facility service items. The job is physically demanding and fast-paced, involving both indoor and outdoor activities. Partners in this role enjoy a majority 4-day workweek with limited night or weekend hours, making it an appealing balance for many employees.
Successful Route Service Representatives will undergo a comprehensive 10-week training program designed to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel. Compensation includes a solid base salary combined with commission potential as representatives are assigned routes, along with monthly and quarterly bonuses and incentives tied to performance. This compensation model rewards dedication, customer service excellence, and effective route management.
In this role, employees are the face of Cintas to the customer, responsible for building strong relationships with key decision-makers to ensure satisfaction and continued business growth. Representatives are expected to maintain quality standards, proactively address customer concerns, and grow the existing customer base by upselling and cross-selling a broad range of products and services. They negotiate service agreement renewals, manage inventory control, and ensure all activities comply with driving and vehicle regulations. This position requires professionalism, excellent organizational skills, and team collaboration to meet shared goals.
Candidates must meet stringent Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations due to the nature of vehicle operation. Requirements prior to employment include an active driver's license, being at least 21 years old, obtaining DOT medical certification, and providing documentation of previous employment. Additionally, candidates should be physically capable of fulfilling the demands of the position, hold a high school diploma, GED or military service background, and demonstrate a strong customer service mindset. Self-motivation, positive attitude, ambition, and organizational capabilities are critical for success.
Cintas supports employee growth with ongoing mentoring, skills development, training, and clearly defined career advancement opportunities. This role is ideal for individuals seeking a rewarding career with a stable, well-established company poised for future growth. By joining Cintas as a Route Service Representative, employees become part of a dynamic team that values diversity, equality, and inclusion. The company proudly follows equal employment opportunity policies and encourages qualified candidates from all backgrounds to apply. This is a full-time, 1st shift position classified under the Rental category with the employee status marked as regular.
Cintas offers comprehensive and competitive benefits to its employees, including four medical plan options, dental and vision coverage, paid time off, holidays, and a 401(k) plan with company match and profit sharing. Employees also enjoy 100% company-paid disability, life, and AD&D insurance, creating a supportive work environment that fosters health, financial security, and work-life balance. Overall, this role is an excellent opportunity to join a respected company renowned for its business excellence and commitment to employee development.
