Job Description
United Site Services is the industry leader in comprehensive site services, committed to creating partnerships that help enable our customers' project and event success. With a solid reputation based on deep industry expertise, excellence in process management, and a strong dedication to corporate responsibility, United Site Services offers unparalleled service supported by tangible, best-practice programs. The company excels, in part, due to the dedication and collaboration of its diverse team which includes field technicians, customer care representatives, sales professionals, and functional experts. Each member plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless and reliable experience for customers. The organization thrives on continuous improvement, teamwork, and excellence across every facet of its operations.
The Service Technician role is a pivotal position within United Site Services, often considered the heart of the business. This role involves operating a company service truck to service, pump, and clean portable restrooms and holding tanks at various locations. Service Technicians are responsible for adhering to rigorous safety standards, both those established by United Site Services and by the Department of Transportation (DOT). A typical workday requires physical stamina involving sitting while driving, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and frequently lifting or pushing weights between 50 to 150 pounds. This role also demands excellent customer service skills as the technician interacts directly with customers to ensure services meet or exceed their expectations. Flexibility is key, as route adjustments may be necessary to meet customer needs efficiently. The technician will communicate effectively with operational management, providing feedback to optimize routes and enhance service delivery. Strategic planning regarding customer portable toilet needs is another core responsibility, helping to anticipate and fulfill both current and future requirements.
This role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $20.42 to $27.57, based on geographic location, experience, education, and certifications. United Site Services also provides a comprehensive benefits package to eligible full-time employees working an average of 30 hours or more per week, which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, short-term disability, and a 401(k) with employer match. As an equal opportunity employer, United Site Services promotes diversity and inclusivity in its workforce and prohibits discrimination based on legally protected characteristics. Furthermore, some positions may require secure site access or domestic air travel, necessitating acceptable identification such as a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or U.S. passport in compliance with federal regulations.
