We are currently seeking a motivated Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will operate a company service truck to service, pump, and clean portable restrooms and holding tanks across various locations. This position is central to our business operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction and service quality. The Service Technician role involves performing truck driving duties while adhering strictly to company and Department of Transportation (DOT) safety regulations, ensuring not only personal safety but also compliance with industry standards. The job requires physical stamina, including the ability to sit, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, along with the frequent lifting and pushing of loads ranging from 50 to 150 pounds. As a frontline representative, the successful candidate will engage with customers on-site to guarantee that services meet or exceed their expectations.

Flexibility and adaptability are vital traits for this role, with route adjustments and service needs varying based on customer demands. The technician will also provide valuable feedback to supervisors and operations managers to optimize routing efficiency and enhance the overall customer service experience. Strategic planning for customer needs is another essential aspect, requiring proactive communication with clients to anticipate and fulfill current and future portable restroom requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Sit while driving and stand while servicing products
  • Use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects tools or controls
  • Repeat the same movements
  • See details of objects that are less than a few feet away and also at greater distance
  • Speak clearly so customers can understand
  • Understand the speech of another person
  • Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them
  • Walk up to 30 minutes at a time without exertion
  • Enter and exit equipment by stepping and kneeling
  • Lift up to 40lbs from your waist to your shoulders
  • Lift 30lbs from the floor to your head
  • Crouch and squat
  • Push 100lbs and pull 100lbs horizontally

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of commercial driving experience
  • Valid Driver License (CDL or non-commercial)
  • Excellent time management, customer service and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision making skills

Job Duties

  • Perform basic service truck driving functions in accordance with USS and DOT requirements
  • Perform all work duties in a safe manner in accordance with USS and DOT safety standards to ensure no accidents or injuries
  • Perform duties by sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
  • In addition, perform lifting/pushing between 50 and 150 lbs. on a frequent basis during work shift
  • Conduct portable toilets servicing to USS 8 point service standard
  • Perform customer service interaction when on customer work sites to ensure they are getting the services completed to their standard
  • Ability to be flexible in order to meet customer needs when routes need to be adjusted or changed
  • Provide routing feedback to Operations Manager/Supervisor/Coordinator to be most efficient as well as giving the customer the best service possible
  • Ability to strategically plan for customer needs by discussing their portable toilet needs, so the customer's current and future needs are satisfied
