This position involves operating a company service truck to travel to various locations for servicing, pumping, and cleaning portable restrooms and holding tanks.

As a Service Technician, your work directly impacts customer satisfaction by upholding USS's high service standards and safety protocols. This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to handle tasks such as lifting, pushing heavy loads, and working in various physical positions including sitting, standing, and crouching. The role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $19.49 to $26.32, with compensation reflecting factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skills. In addition, a $1,500 sign-on bonus is available, paid out in four installments over 12 months for external candidates, providing an attractive incentive to join our team.

The Service Technician is expected to perform duties adhering strictly to USS and Department of Transportation (DOT) safety standards, ensuring a safe work environment without accidents or injuries. The role requires excellent customer service skills as it involves direct interaction with clients on-site, ensuring that service delivery meets their standards and adjusting routes flexibly to accommodate customer needs. Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years of commercial driving experience
  • Valid driver license (CDL or non-commercial)
  • Sit while driving and stand while servicing products
  • Use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls
  • Repeat the same movements
  • See details of objects that are less than a few feet away and also at greater distance
  • Speak clearly so customers can understand
  • Understand the speech of another person
  • Hear sounds and recognize differences between them
  • Walk up to 30 minutes at a time without exertion
  • Enter and exit equipment by stepping and kneeling
  • Lift up to 40lbs from waist to shoulders
  • Lift 30lbs from floor to head
  • Crouch and squat
  • Push 100lbs and pull 100lbs horizontally

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of commercial driving experience
  • Valid driver license (CDL or non-commercial)
  • Excellent time management, customer service and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision making skills

Job Duties

  • Perform basic service truck driving functions in accordance with USS and DOT requirements
  • Perform all work duties in a safe manner in accordance with USS and DOT safety standards to ensure no accidents or injuries
  • Perform duties by sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling and lift/push between 50 and 150 lbs. frequently during work shift
  • Conduct portable toilets servicing to USS 8 point service standard
  • Perform customer service interaction on customer work sites to ensure services meet their standards
  • Be flexible to meet customer needs when routes need adjustment or change
  • Provide routing feedback to Operations Manager/Supervisor/Coordinator for efficiency and customer service
  • Strategically plan for customer portable toilet needs to satisfy current and future requirements
