The available role is a route sales position based on a Monday to Friday schedule from 6:00 AM to approximately 3:00 PM, with additional hours as needed to meet customer requirements. This position is predominantly field-based, requiring regular presence at customer locations to promote, sell, and merchandise products. The successful candidate will manage an assigned delivery route, ensuring timely order processing, accurate inventory management, and compliance with all regulations. Responsibilities include developing strong relationships with account decision-makers, recommending product displays and point of sale materials, and maintaining product rotation to avoid out-of-date stock. The role demands proactive communication with management regarding competitor activities and business opportunities, as well as ensuring safety compliance and proper care of company assets including iPads and vehicles.

This is a dynamic role for individuals motivated by sales, customer service, and logistics. The position requires a balance of physical activity, such as lifting and maneuvering products for display, as well as administrative tasks like data entry and order processing. Employees must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and be able to obtain and maintain a beer and wine sales license. Job Requirements

  • Possess education equivalent to a high school diploma
  • Have at least one year of service experience
  • Possess basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to solve problems with limited concrete variables
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and manuals
  • Possess basic communication skills
  • Ability to apply instructions in oral, written, or diagram form
  • Able to perform physical work up to 90% of the time
  • Maintain regular and punctual in-person attendance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain beer and wine sales license
  • Have a valid driver’s license and compliant driving record

Job Qualifications

  • Possess education equivalent to a high school diploma plus one year of service experience
  • Possess basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • Ability to deal with problems involving limited concrete variables
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, bar graphs, and manuals
  • Basic communication skills using common courtesy
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions
  • Ability to perform physical work up to 90% of the time
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active beer and wine sales license
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and compliant driving record

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the promotion, sales and merchandising of products for the assigned route
  • Confer with customers to understand needs, identify best product, process orders, and schedule delivery
  • Visit each account as scheduled
  • Develop rapport with decision makers and actively recommend displays and POS materials
  • Rotate product and ensure no out of date beer and accurate pricing
  • Review inventory levels and determine quantities needed using sales history
  • Enter order and transmit timely to ensure prompt delivery
  • Follow up on stock issues including out-of-stock items and missed deliveries
  • Comply with ABC regulations and supplier requirements
  • Follow process for close-dated product
  • Communicate new products, promotions, and opportunities
  • Request and ensure proper placement of POS material
  • Communicate competitor activities and business outlook to management
  • Work with customers to resolve concerns and escalate sensitive matters
  • Complete customer surveys
  • Use proper PPE and safe lifting and driving techniques
  • Attend sales meetings and review updates
  • Take care of company assets including iPad and vehicle
  • Ensure regular and punctual attendance
  • Perform all other assigned duties
