The Route Sales Representative role at Golden Waffles is vital to continuing the company’s legacy of exceptional service and product delivery. Individuals in this position serve as the face of the Golden Waffles brand, responsible for delivering high-quality waffle products directly to customers along their assigned routes. This role plays a critical part in driving sales growth by managing territory sales, strengthening customer relationships, and expanding market presence. Route Sales Representatives develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure order consistency and increased sales, as well as identify new business opportunities within their territory to expand market share. Using strategic sales plans, they work diligently to meet and surpass sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Furthermore, they educate customers about product offerings, pricing, promotions, and merchandising strategies that optimize sales potential.

In addition to sales functions, these representatives efficiently manage their designated routes by planning schedules that maximize time and fuel efficiency while ensuring timely product deliveries and exceptional service. They monitor inventory levels, track sales performance, and place accurate orders to align with customer demand using company tools and technology for effective route and sales management.

Operational duties include the safe loading, transport, and delivery of products in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and company driving regulations. Representatives are expected to maintain the quality and freshness of products through proper handling and storage and comply with all company policies including vehicle maintenance and sanitation standards. Accurate completion of reports, invoices, and documentation on time is also a key part of the role.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proven experience in sales, route management, or related field
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • CDL may be required for certain routes
  • Maintain DOT certification and drug testing compliance
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Physical ability to load and unload products
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
