The role of Route Sales Representative at Bimbo Bakeries USA offers a dynamic and rewarding career path within this global leader in baking. This full-time position features a competitive weekly base pay of $1097 plus commission, translating to an approximate annual salary range of $55,000 to $84,998. The typical workweek consists of a minimum of 45 hours, providing a stable and predictable schedule. As a Route Sales Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring that Bimbo Bakeries USA’s products reach retail shelves efficiently and remain fresh and appealing to customers. You will be responsible for merchandising, stocking, and rotating products to maintain freshness and quality standards. Driving sales growth is a critical part of the role, including securing new display space and setting up additional displays using sales data to inform store-level strategies. You will build and maintain strong relationships with customers by following up on new account opportunities and ensuring seamless execution of promotions.

Additionally, this role involves introducing new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space, both within existing accounts and when prospecting new clients. Daily operational responsibilities include conducting route settlement procedures that accurately account for products, invoices, and cash, as well as maintaining proper inventory counts. The position demands safe operation of the company route truck, complete with compliance to Department of Transportation (DOT) daily logs and submission of all required documentation, paperwork, and deposits in a timely manner. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card
  • Successfully able to obtain Chauffeur license (if job location is in IN, MI, TN)
  • Ability to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers
  • 1-3 years of related experience in DSD (Direct Sales Distribution) is preferred
  • Consistent with United States Department of Transportation regulations, the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records

  • 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales distribution preferred

Job Duties
