The Route Sales Representative (RSR) position at Flowers Bakeries Sales of NorCal, LLC embodies the spirit of Flowers Foods by directly connecting customers with fresh bakery products. This full-time role offers an annual compensation ranging from $70,000 to $85,000, combining a base hourly wage with commission incentives. As a Route Sales Representative, the ideal candidate will be responsible for ordering, selling, and delivering a variety of fresh baked goods to customers, ensuring that every delivery is met with professionalism and care. Punctuality and reliability are key, as the position demands early morning start times typically around 3:00 a.m. with days off on Wednesday and Sunday. The role requires maintaining a neat and professional appearance, often wearing a uniform, and building strong relationships with customers through excellent communication and customer service skills. The RSR must diligently manage their delivery vehicle by performing daily inspections, accurately updating driver logs, maintenance reports, and time sheets. Flexibility is critical, as delivery windows and customer schedules can vary, requiring adaptability in work hours and days.

Moreover, the RSR is tasked with driving sales growth by smartly expanding product shelf space, deploying creative in-store promotions, and rotating products to maintain shelf life and maximize freshness. Strong analytical skills to leverage data and marketing plans are necessary to build customer relationships, identify growth opportunities, and execute sales strategies effectively. Candidates with prior delivery driving experience will find themselves better prepared to meet the physical and logistical demands of this dynamic role. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Have had a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card
  • Must have a valid state driver’s license and documented safe driving record
  • Must meet Fleet Insurance Guidelines
  • Must adhere to federal, state, and local rules regarding the operation of a CMV
  • Must execute the best practices of RSR training (after 4-week company paid training)
  • Must be able to push or pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required
