Job Description

The role of Route Sales Representative at FritoLay is a critical position that directly contributes to the company's market presence and sales performance. This full-time position offers a target annual earning of $69,300 and includes a $2,000 retention bonus paid within one year of employment, based on performance and eligibility. Route Sales Representatives are responsible for delivering, selling, and merchandising the complete line of FritoLay products to various local retail locations. This important role requires the ability to operate a FritoLay delivery truck and manage sales routes effectively.

Route Sales Representatives work independently to unload orders, stock and merchandise products, and collaborate with store managers to boost sales, manage orders, and maintain accurate records throughout the day. The job involves physical activity and requires standing for the entire shift, reflecting the demanding yet rewarding nature of the position. New hires undergo four to six weeks of comprehensive training that covers driving, selling techniques, and product knowledge, preparing them to succeed in this fast-paced environment.

This role is highly interactive and customer-facing, offering the opportunity to build lasting relationships with store managers and customers. Team members also get the chance to cover routes for colleagues, gain exposure to different retail environments, and participate in national sales initiatives aimed at growing market share. The position offers a set schedule with regular days off once fully established on a route and provides an environment that is both fun and challenging.

FritoLay operates 24 hours a day, so the work schedule may include weekends and holidays, adding to the role's dynamic nature. Job Requirements

  • be 21 years of age or older
  • have a valid driver’s license with proof of insurance
  • ability to frequently lift 40 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
  • availability to work weekends and holidays as needed
  • ability to stand for the entirety of the shift
  • willingness to complete 4-6 weeks of initial training

Job Qualifications
