Job Description
FritoLay, a subsidiary of PepsiCo, is a renowned leader in the food and beverage industry, celebrated for its extensive range of snack products like Lay's, Doritos, Cheetos, Tostitos, and Fritos. The company operates as a major manufacturer and distributor, providing popular consumer goods that are enjoyed across multiple retail outlets such as gas stations, dollar stores, and large grocery chains. FritoLay is committed to delivering quality products and exceptional service to its customers through its dynamic Route Sales Representatives, who play a critical role in sustaining the company's success and growth in competitive markets.
Joining FritoLay as a Route Sales Representative offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a reputable organization that values innovation, customer relationships, and career development. This full-time position involves significant responsibilities including driving company trucks to various retail locations, performing product deliveries, and merchandising the comprehensive product lineup. You will work independently, managing inventory, taking customer orders, and maintaining detailed sales records throughout your route. The role demands a strong ability to build relationships with store managers and customers to boost sales and promote the brand effectively.
The Route Sales Representative position at FritoLay is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring you to be on your feet for extended periods, unloading and stocking merchandise regularly. FritoLay provides formal training during the first four to six weeks to equip new hires with the essential skills needed to succeed in the role. This includes learning sales techniques, route management, and product knowledge. Moreover, this role offers a structured schedule with designated days off after initial training, although flexibility to work weekends and holidays is necessary due to 24-hour operations.
This role is more than just product delivery; it is a gateway to professional development and career advancement within the FritoLay and PepsiCo family. Employees are encouraged and supported to pursue higher positions within the company through continuous learning and internal mobility. The company invests in its talent and fosters a team-oriented and positive work environment that emphasizes personal growth and professional excellence.
Overall, becoming a Route Sales Representative at FritoLay means joining a respected leader in the snack food industry with a commitment to employee well-being, customer satisfaction, and community involvement. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are provided, supporting employees both on and off the job. If you enjoy engaging with people, driving, and working in an energetic and rewarding setting, this role offers a fulfilling and challenging career path.
