The Route Sales Professional is responsible for merchandising, stocking, and rotating products to guarantee top quality and freshness for consumers. They play an active role in boosting sales by securing new display spaces and strategically setting up incremental displays informed by sales data. This proactive approach helps in expanding market presence and optimizing shelf space. The role also involves following up on new account opportunities and executing promotions effectively. Daily operational responsibilities include conducting route settlements to account for all products, invoices, and cash, maintaining accurate inventory counts, and safely driving the company route truck while completing Department of Transportation (DOT) daily logs. Timely submission of documentation, paperwork, and deposits is essential to ensure smooth business operations.
Compensation for this role is competitive, with a weekly base pay complemented by commission, averaging between $55,000 and $60,000 annually. Additional pay is provided for covering routes within a 2-3 hour radius around Lincoln. Mileage and meal reimbursements are available when using a personal vehicle for travel, and travel may necessitate overnight hotel stays.
